The collaboration is built on shared values – a commitment to strengthening the well-being, vitality, and cultural accessibility of Northern Finland.

“Culture and art are proven to improve people’s well-being and support mental health. We want to help create experiences that enrich the lives of local residents, foster a sense of community, and offer a restorative break from the challenges of everyday life,” says Veli Rajakangas, CEO of LähiTapiola Pohjoinen.

As a main partner of the Lumo Light Festival, LähiTapiola will also help enhance the impact of the newly launched Lumo Art & Tech Festival. The collaboration brings additional resources for developing the event and expanding its reach to wider audiences.

“Lumo and LähiTapiola Pohjoinen have a long history of event partnerships in previous years. We are very pleased to be able to take this cooperation with a trusted partner to the next level during the Capital of Culture year – moving together towards an even brighter future,” says Head of Events, Jarkko Halunen.

“It is wonderful to have a partner who shares our vision of the importance of culture for regional development. LähiTapiola’s support will enable more people to enjoy unique cultural experiences and will strengthen the position of the Lumo Art & Tech Festival as an internationally attractive event,” says Programme Manager Henri Turunen.

“Our shared goal with the Oulu2026 project is to build a lasting cultural climate change that increases the region’s appeal, well-being, and sense of community,” sums up Liisa Humalamäki, Director of Marketing and Communications at LähiTapiola Pohjoinen.
