Bearers of Time explores how history and different layers of time live in people’s bodies. The work asks how we carry time with us and participate in interpreting and constructing history in our own time.

The journey through time begins outside the art museum and continues into the museum’s premises. The work engages in a dialogue with Jesse Jones’s Tremble Tremble, on display in Hall A, reflecting on the act of becoming visible: what can be brought from darkness into light, how is one allowed to be, and in what ways can one be seen?

The work is a collaboration between media, music education and dance teacher training students at Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
