Illusion

Illusion is a subtle light installation projected from the inside out onto the windows of Art Hub Pikisaari. It offers a glimpse into another world that feels both present and out of reach. Spanning several windows, the installation is composed of video footage, coloured lights, and shadows.

A cat wanders between the windows like a guide traversing the boundary between worlds, knowing a path that humans cannot see. The work explores the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, between humans and other species, and between the familiar and the unknown – everything that seems, in some way, to lie on the other side.

Art Hub Pikisaari is an Oulu-based art and creative community that brings together artists, workspaces and a range of artistic productions.
