Reason

Reason explores light as a symbol of knowledge, understanding and wisdom. In the work, a small and fragile filament takes on great significance at a time when the light of reason and knowledge seems to be fading and glimmers of hope must be actively sought.

A microscope is focused on the core of artificial light. An instrument that extends the limits of human vision is thus directed at another device that makes seeing possible. The work asks how clearly we truly see and how far our vision can reach.
