White Wax Worm is set in a world made up of the remnants of human technology. To survive in these changed conditions, nature has adapted and created a new being: the Wax Worm.

The work is inspired by the real wax worm, a caterpillar known for its ability to break down plastic waste. Built from recycled cables and other technological components, the installation takes this idea into an imagined future where technology begins to feel more natural to us than living organisms. At the same time, the work highlights nature’s resilience and its ability to adapt to environments altered by human activity.

AUSGANG Studio is a Slovak art studio whose works bring together technology, nature and materials left behind by humans, often through dystopian visions of the future. The studio works with light, sound, signals and discarded technological materials.
